Public School Volunteer Week (April 21–25) honors the amazing volunteers who support our schools and students with their time, energy, and dedication.
Beginning the week of April 14 through May 9, the Puyallup School District invites students, staff, and families to participate in our annual stakeholder input surveys.
On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Aylen Junior High, learn more information about dual language and multilingual career opportunities for the 25-26 school year.

In a unanimous decision, the Puyallup School Board approved placing a bond measure on the April 22, 2025, special election ballot.
On Saturday, May 3, 2025, ignite your passion for science, technology, engineering, arts, and math at the 2025 PSD STEAM Celebration at Firgrove Elementary!
The sessions are an opportunity to learn how the bond would help address overcrowding, modernize aging facilities, and create safe and innovative learning spaces for the future while maintaining the current tax rate.
Transition to Kindergarten is a free program designed to assist pre-k-aged learners who would benefit from additional support to be successful in kindergarten.
District Events
The Puyallup School District (PSD) is partnering with Acts Pharmacy to host a free vaccination clinic on Monday, April 21, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the Aylen Junior High Library.

This clinic is open to all PSD students under the age of 18, and will primarily offer Tdap, Meningococcal, and HPV vaccines, with a focus on helping 6th grade students meet the immunization requirement for 7th grade. Priority will be given to students currently out of compliance or needing Tdap for 7th grade entry.

Cost: Free. Insurance will be billed if available. No out-of-pocket cost to families.

Health Room teams have begun contacting families of students who are currently out of compliance. If your child needs an updated vaccine, we encourage you to register early.

To register to vote in Washington, you must be:
- A citizen of the United States
- A legal resident of Washington state for at least 30 days before election day
- At least 18 years old by election day
- Not disqualified from voting due to a court order
- Not currently serving a sentence of total confinement under the jurisdiction of the Department of Corrections for a Washington felony conviction
- Not currently incarcerated for a federal or out-of-state felony conviction
To register online, you will need:
- A current Washington State driver's license or a current Washington State ID card

- Basic and financial needs
- Student tutoring
- Adult English-Language classes for adults and career support
We will host the sessions on Saturdays from 9 to 11 a.m. on the following dates:
- November 23
- December 7, 14 and 21
- January 11, 18 and 25
- February 1, 8 and 22
- March 1, 8 15, 22 and 29
- April 5, 19 and 26
- May 3, 10, 17 and 31
- June 7
Potluck Celebration
On Saturday, June 14, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Puyallup Public Library, we will host a potluck celebrating our refugee families.

On Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., we will host an exciting free event at Firgrove Elementary for all PSD students and families to explore and celebrate the wonders of STEAM education.

This event will highlight the innovative learning experiences already taking place in our classrooms and feature hands-on activities and demonstrations provided by school and community organizations.
From exploring the latest technology to discovering the science behind everyday phenomena, the PSD STEAM Celebration will inspire students to develop critical thinking skills and creativity while fostering a love for learning.
In addition to showcasing the practical applications of STEAM, the event will also highlight the importance of community partnerships in supporting education. By bringing together students, educators, and local organizations, this event will celebrate the collective efforts to prepare our youth for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
